Quality & Assurance

NexRubbertec places great emphasis on the quality of its products. To ensure quality and consistency of its products, NexRubbertec conducts checks at every stage of the production, from the acceptance of raw materials to the testing of the quality of finished goods.

Here, we are continuously upgrading our technology and processes to meet our customer needs and standards. Our Technical Services Department and laboratory is equipped with the latest instruments for quality control. The laboratory testing and process rubber test equipment is keep up to date with sophisticated software in order to meet the customer requirements.

NexRubbertec also emphasize training to employees to ensure their skills and expertise enhanced and updated constantly. Employees are expected to have the highest level of competency and efficiency and they are also trained to provide excellent customer service.

QUALITY TESTS

1. Computerized Mooney Viscometer
A standard instrument for determining:

  • The relative viscosity of the rubber and rubber like materials in the raw or compounded state.
  • The curing characteristics of the vulcanizable compounds.
  • The torque required to rotate a metal disc with a shallow cylindrical cavity filled with rubber compound.

2. Computerized Tensile Tester
To Test Tensile Properties (Modulus, Tensile Strength, Elongation at Break) and Tear Strength of a sample

3. Computerized Rheometer
Measures the complete vulcanizing characteristics of an elastomer compound from an unvulcanized state to a fully cured state, at a specified temperature.

4. Lab Mill
A lab scale mill used to mix, blend and shear chemicals with rubber.

5. Lab Press
Hydraulic press used to generate the temperature and pressure between the platen to vulcanize molded rubber compound into products.

6. Roto Siever with Sieve Analyzer
Semi-automatic seiver that is made up of a stack of decreasing size seives. By placing a preweighed amount of sample on the top seive and shaking for a specified length of time at preset speed, the sample material will segregrate by size. The measure of sample in each seive provides a distribution curve of the sample material.

7. Moisture Analyzer
Moisture content refers to the percentage of moisture or water present in the system. It is a measure of degree of drying.

8. Durometer
Determine the indentation hardness of a sample. This is based on the penetration of a specified indenter forced into the material under specified conditions.

9. Abrasion Tester
The abrasion resistance of the rubber vulcanisate.

10. Thickness Gauge
The thickness of sample rubber

11. Rebound Resilience
The impact resilience of rubber vulcanisate

12. Demattia Flex Tester
The crack initiation and crack growth of vulcanized rubber when subjected to repeated blend flexing.

13. Density Tester
To determine the density of rubber vulcanisate.

14. Oven Ashing
A muffle furnace to find out the ash content of the sample

15. Hot Curing Press
For heating of rubber samples.
